TAC L2P Program

Overview

The TAC L2P Program assists Victorian learner drivers. These are learners, aged 16 to 21, that have no access to a supervising driver or vehicle.

Organisations that support the TAC L2P Program:

How does it work?

The TAC L2P Program matches learners with a licensed driver and Council provided car. This is to help them gain driving experience.

The program focuses on helping young people become safe and confident drivers.

Learners will have access to seven free driving lessons with a professional instructor. Then they will get on the road with a volunteer mentor.

Become an L2P Mentor

We need your help! Become a mentor and make an impact in a young person’s life in as little as 1 to 2 hours a week.

SECL will give you the opportunity to connect with your community.

Mentors are provided with a full training program. This ensures that you’re well prepared to mentor a learner driver and that you understand your role as a supervising driver.

Vehicles and insurances are provided.
