2022 Youth Awards Winner
On Tuesday 13 September 2022 Kingston Youth Services hosted its annual Kingston Youth Awards Event at Platform 81.
Each year, the Kingston Youth Awards recognises and acknowledges the contributions of young people in the community. Through community nominations, young people are celebrated for their efforts, achievements and impacts. One nominee is then selected and awarded the 2022 City of Kingston Young Citizen of the Year award.
This year, we received five nominations of young people who have each contributed time, energy and effort in order to make an impact and better the lives of those around them.
Nominees were:
-Amberley Powell
-Alice Ho
-Sam Hubeek
-Ronan Askew
-Isabelle Lette
The 2022 City of Kingston Young Citizen of the Year is Alice Ho, who was recognised for her work advocating for youth mental health and the leadership skills she demonstrated within youth committees and leadership groups.
All five nominees were exceptional and a true inspiration for the great work young people do within and for their communities.
Congratulations to everyone nominated and congratulations Alice!
