    The Kingston Youth Awards provides a great opportunity for young people 12-25 years with a connection to the City of Kingston (live, work, study) to be recognised, acknowledged and celebrated for their contributions to their local community.

  • 2022 Skate of Mind

    The Kingston Youth Services FReeZA P81 Events Committee have been working hard to hold their first big event for the year – Skate of Mind.

    Come along and enjoy live music from local youth acts as well as food trucks and watch some amazing young people battle it out in the competitions for Skateboarding and 3:3 Basketball. Prizes are up for grabs and food trucks will be there, so bring a friend and come support local youth people in the community.

  • Thriving and Surviving Year 7 with Dr Michael Carr-Gregg

    The transition from primary school to high school is when Australian students are at greatest risk of losing interest in school. Kids from 11 to 14 place high value on friendships, and one of students’ biggest concerns when they move to high school is fitting in. Poor relationships with peers, predict lower well being, lower grades and a higher risk of drop-out.

    This webinar delivered by one of Australia's best known child and adolescent psychologists, (Dr Michael Carr-Gregg) who will give participants the latest research on the practical skills, knowledge and strategies to manage the transition and build happy and resilient young people for 2022 and beyond.

  • St Kilda Fest Artist Call Out!

    Kingston Youth Services is working with The Push to provide a performance opportunity for a local musicians and young emerging artists at the 2022 St Kilda Festival.
    We are conducting an artist call out - any local musicians or young emerging artists aged 12-25 with a connection to the City of Kingston (live, work, study) who are interested in performing on stage at the St Kilda Festival on Sunday 13 February 2022 will need to complete an Expression of Interest Form and one of our youth workers will contact you to discuss further.

  • Join FReeZA 2022

    13 October 2021

    We are currently recruiting for our 2022 FReeZA Committee and we’re asking for your help in spreading the word by sharing this with any young person who may be interested!
    The goal of FReeZA is to enable young peoples’ participation in community life through leading the planning, development and delivery of music, cultural and recreational events. Through initiatives such as FReeZA, young people take a central role in staging events that not only strengthen their skills and talents, but also celebrate and recognise the important contribution they make to the local community.

  • Youth Consultation Sessions

    Kingston Youth Services is applying for the next round of State Government funding – ENGAGE and FReeZA and we are hosting two youth consultation sessions to help us develop programs, activities and events that reflect and respond to the needs of young people 12-25 in the City of Kingston.
    This is a great opportunity to help us shape what the next few years of Youth Services will look like and you will be directly involved in the decision making around our program development.

  • Kingston Youth Services has moved to Platform 81

    31 August 2020

    Kingston Youth Services has moved locations and are now located in our new home - Platform 81.

    With current Stage 4 Restrictions in place we are only offering Counselling and Youth Work Support services by appointment only with all our community groups being run online.
