Takeover Melbourne – Winners Announced!
Towards the end of 2020 the ABC announced the 31 young winners of the inaugural Takeover Melbourne storytelling competition.
Takeover Melbourne is a new initiative from the ABC in partnership with VicHealth, Resilient Melbourne and the Centre for Multicultural Youth, amplifying the voices of young Melburnians(aged 12 to 18 years). -
2020 Citizen of the Year
The Youth Awards form part of the Kingston Youth Festival of annual events and celebrations showcasing the talents and achievements of young people. The Youth Awards provide an opportunity to recognize and acknowledge the contributions of young people in Kingston.

Parent Information Night – Sharon Witt
Kingston Youth Services are excited to welcome guest speaker Sharon Witt to present at our upcoming online parent information night.
Sharon has been immersed in the teen world for over three decades in her role as a secondary teacher, author and presenter to adolescents and their parents around the country. She is a regular media commentator on issues impacting young people, parenting and educational issues. -
Grade Six Transition Program
After a challenging year for our students and teachers, Kingston Youth Services has dedicated term four to providing support to Grade Six students as they transition to Secondary Schooling.
The Grade Six Transition Program is developed to provide targeted support across a variety of key themes and topics by giving students the opportunity to discuss and explore some of worries they have about high school. -
Kingston Youth Services has moved to Platform 81
Kingston Youth Services has moved locations and are now located in our new home - Platform 81.
With current Stage 4 Restrictions in place we are only offering Counselling and Youth Work Support services by appointment only with all our community groups being run online.

Stage 4 Restrictions
With the Government’s announcement of Stage 4 restrictions in Metropolitan Melbourne, and restrictions to businesses, many in our community will be impacted.
You can phone our community support hotline during business hours on 1300 653 356 for information or support including emergency food aid, home support services, financial counselling/assistance, family violence support or mental health services. -
Service Update and Stage 3 Restrictions
Stage 3 Stay at Home restrictions will be in place across metropolitan Melbourne, which includes all of Kingston, from 11:59pm on Wednesday 8 July.
Kingston Youth Services remains closed for drop in however we are still offering our Counselling and 1:1 Support services for young people who have a link to the City of Kingston (live, work or study).

Rights at Work Information Session
Join Kingston Youth Services and the Young Workers Centre in a FREE online session to learn about your rights at work and what to do if you are experiencing bullying and harassment in the workplace.
Every young person should know their rights as workers. -
Young Women’s Mentoring Program
One of the greatest privileges of having a position of leadership is celebrating the important role young women play in our communities. Kingston Youth Services recognises the value of investing in young women and will continue to create opportunities for them to develop.
This is a valuable opportunity and a unique experience to be mentored by women who are experts in their fields and who have vast experiences to draw and learn from. -
Freeza Short Film Competition
Well it’s as simple as Ben has just said to enter our Fuse Productions Short Film Festival. Grab a few friends, come up with some ideas and get filming. Great prizes up for grabs!!
