Kingston Youth Services wants to recognise and award the outstanding achievements of young people. Do you know a young person or a young community group aged between 12-25 years who have made a significant contribution in the City of Kingston?

The aim of our local Youth Awards is to:

  • Showcase young people’s talents, contributions and achievements;
  • Celebrate young people’s diversity and the attributes that make young people unique; and
  • Promote young people as positive representations in our local community.

The annual Youth Awards will be recognised and celebrated as part National Youth Week. Award winners will be officially announced at the 2018 Picture This Awards Night on Tuesday 18th of April at the Shirley Burke Theatre.

National Youth Week is an annual, week-long celebration of young people (aged 12–25) throughout Australia. It is a joint initiative of the Australian, State, Territory and Local Governments. It gives local communities the opportunity to recognise and celebrate achievements made by our local youth.

Young people can be nominated under the following categories:

  • Young Citizen of the Year
  • Young Community Group of the Year

Nominations are being taken online at: http://www.kingston.vic.gov.au/Services/Youth/Young-Citizen-or-Young-Community-Group-of-the-Year-Nomination-Form

Nominations will be closing Friday 2nd of March 2018.
