Fortnightly on Fridays
Platform 81 (81 Albert Street, Mordialloc 3195)
Transitioning into adulthood as a queer young person can be overwhelming and opportunities to meet like-minded people can feel few and far between. Our brand new program, Connect supports LGBTIQA+ young people to network with other members of the Rainbow Community, over coffee and cake at local cafes within the City of Kingston.
If you are a young queer person who struggles to make connections with other people IRL or if joining groups by yourself is daunting or even if you simply have no interest in the queer “night-life” scene, then Connect might be the group for you. Connect will support you to find where you fit in your community as you continue into adulthood.
Who can join?
If you would like to join Connect you must be aged 18-25 years, identify as part of the LGBTIQA+ community and live, work or study in the City of Kingston. Connect meets fortnightly throughout the year.
For more information or to discuss, contact Youth Services on 1300 369 436.
All interested young people must complete an Expression of Interest form and one of our youth work team will get in touch.
