Call out to young artists
Submit your concept to be featured in a mural by local artist Deb McNaughton
Submissions close: Sunday 15 October 2023
This is a call out to artists aged 12-25years who live, study or work in the City of Kingston. You have an opportunity to submit your concept to be featured and incorporated in a final art mural in Main Street Mordialloc. This dedicated wall is located outside of Amcal Pharmacy facing McDonald Street.
Guidelines for submissions:
Design an element that incorporates your meaning and connection to the beach or ocean.
A handful of submissions will be selected to be featured and incorporated in the final design made by Deb. If you wish to participate in an opportunity to work directly with the artist on the mural please make a note of this in your final submission.
Submissions are due no later than 15 October 2023
Please complete a program & participation form when you submit your final piece.
Submissions can be made directly to Kingston Youth Services by sending a digital copy to: youth.services@kingston.vic.gov.au or dropping your submission off to the Youth Team at Platform 81, 81 Albert Street Mordialloc 3195. Please note Kingston Youth Services is open Mon-Fri 9am to 5pm
About the Artist
Deb McNaughton is an established Australian artist with a love for colour and a passion for making the world a brighter place through art. Her bubbly personality is reflected in the contemporary artwork she creates and leaves collectors feeling all the happy fuzzy feels.
Working with a variety of mediums, Deb’s style is described as spontaneous, diverse and fun. Her creativity comes from the heart and her colourful creations are widely recognised in both Australia and overseas.
Inspired by bright colour combinations, fashion trends and patterns found in nature, Deb’s work is sure to catch your attention and give you happy vibes.
