AYC is a new and exciting youth space in Aspendale Gardens. The space is located opposite the ‘rage cage’ at the Aspendale Gardens Community Centre. Visit us at 103-105 Kearney Drive, Aspendale Gardens.

What does AYC offer?

AYC offers you specific activities that are supervised by AYC staff and volunteers. If you aged between 11-16 years we say come along to the activity that suits you most. Sometimes the age group varies depending on the activity that’s being provided. We would also love to hear your ideas for other activities too.

What’s new for 2017!

AYC is running every Monday, Tuesday and Thursdays every term throughout the school year. This year we have hosting cooking classes, a homework program, Soccer program, Board Sports programs and workshops throughout the year.

Mondays: Cooking Classes

Come and learn some life skills including cooking on a budget. Make friends and of course eat the delicious food you prepare. This program is available for anyone between the ages of 13-16.

Tuesdays: Homework Club (New)

A quiet space for you to study, get support from volunteer tutors, access computers, internet and printers. This program is available for anyone between 11-18 years of age.

Thursdays: Board Sports (for Term 4, 2017)

Get expert tuition in Board Sports including Windsurfing, Stand Up Paddle-boarding, SK8 sailing and surfing. Learn on the land to practice on the water.

Skill Development and Learning

On a regular basis AYC offers a variety of opportunities for you to learn new skills and participate in training which you can add to your resume. Training topics may include Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), Food Hygiene and Handling, Barista courses etc.


Who is it run by?

AYC is a fully supervised program facilitated by staff from Kingston Youth Services, Aspendale Gardens Community Centre and volunteers.

Who is it for?

AYC is open to all young people 11-16 years of age unless specified. AYC offers free access to Mac computers, internet and printing. Onsite we have Wii-U and a drum kit. You are welcome to help yourself to make a toastie and enjoy other snacks.  Our friendly staff and volunteers are happy to assist you with any questions you may have.

What to do?
