AYC is an exciting youth space in Aspendale Gardens. The space is located opposite the ‘rage cage’ at the Aspendale Gardens Community Centre. Visit us at 103-105 Kearney Drive, Aspendale Gardens.
What does AYC offer?
AYC offers specific activities that are supervised by AYC staff and volunteers. If you aged between 11-17 years we say come along to the activity that suits you most. Sometimes the age group varies depending on the activity that’s being provided. We would also love to hear your ideas for other activities too.
What’s on for 2019!
AYC will be running on Mondays and Thursdays for Term 1 and we will be running cooking sessions on both days.
Mondays & Thursdays: Cooking Classes
Come and learn some life skills including cooking on a budget. Make friends and of course eat the delicious food you prepare.
Skill Development and Learning
AYC also offers a variety of opportunities for you to learn new skills and participate in training which you can add to your resume. Training topics may include Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), Food Hygiene and Handling, Barista courses etc.
Who is it run by?
AYC is a fully supervised program facilitated by staff from Kingston Youth Services, Aspendale Gardens Community Centre and volunteers.
Who is it for?
AYC is open to all young people 11-16 years of age unless specified. AYC offers free access to Mac computers, internet and printing. Onsite we have Wii-U and a drum kit. You are welcome to help yourself to make a toastie and enjoy other snacks. Our friendly staff and volunteers are happy to assist you with any questions you may have.
What to do?
